Why does he want a divorce? There’s way more to the story then he wants to leave cause you booked a vacation! You need to find out the real reason he wants to leave. Why does he have debt to pay off? If your married then both of you have debt to pay off! There’s something either you or him are leaving out.

he’s a jerk, it was your money. However if he is the person that won’t talk about it and just wants to rush to a divorce let him, he obviously does not care enough about your relationship to work it out, just wants to do the easy way out and end the relationship
It sounds like he is being way over-dramatic about the situation and that there is more behind it than him worrying about money. You need to ask him calmly about it and ask if there is another reason why he acting the way he is (eg; stressed about work). Talking to him is the only way you will get the answers you need and hopefully it will all work out.
